Favorite Pastime ... Thrifting of Course!

If I'm not curled up in my bed watching movies, I'm probably thrifting. The thing I love most about thrifting is that rush you get when you find an amazing piece. Recently I found a retro black romper and I wished I could wear it every single day! It's chic, versatile, and BLACK - enough said. Sorry for this tease, but I will share this romper in a future post. Today I wanted to showcase a few thrift finds that I shared in a lookbook on youtube: [Thrifted // Summer Lookbook 2015].

Wrinkles for texture? Irons are overrated? I would like to apologize again (sorry not sorry), I was too excited to share this post. Therefore, I didn't take the time to iron the pieces after wearing them for my lookbook haha.

Navy Crop Top - basics from a retail store
Colorful Summer Skort - thrifted
Liz Claiborne Crossbody Bag - thrifted

White Blouse - gift from a friend
B&W palm leaf print skirt - thrifted
Black & Gold Clutch - thrifted

This amazing mural was created by Jeff Soto & Maxx242.

I shared more outfits in the video so check it out: [click here]. Please like & subscribe to my channel if you enjoy my content.

Until next time, have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

What's up San Francisco?

Hello beautiful faces,
How are all of you? I hope you guys had a fun-filled and cozy winter break!

______________________________________________________________________
Here are a few photos from my SF trip. I actually enjoyed the car ride more than sight seeing in San Francisco. This is because there were so many amazing landscape to experience, from mountains, lakes and flat farm lands. Don't get me wrong, San Francisco is a beautiful city in it's own right and I probably need to explore more than just one day. So SF was freezing, I didn't expect it to be so cold! It was overwhelming since there were so many tourist including ourselves haha. I think the bike ride to the Golden Gate Bridge was the best part of the trip for me. All in all, I think it was a successful trip and it was my first time really leaving SoCal. I also have a video recap of my trip so please check it out here: [click here].

Until next time, I hope you all have a wonderful year filled with happiness & love!

New Year's Outfit Ideas

Hello lovelies,

It blows my mind that this year is coming to an end and a new year is peeking around the corner! Where has the time gone?!

I am still a strong believer in the fact you create your own happiness. Echoing from my 2014 New Year's post, you have to get yourself out there, take that leap of faith, and try new things! Don't wish for dreams to come true, make them come true. So go out there and live a little, lovelies!

I am a big fan of sparkly clothing items, especially for a New Year's look. This might be my tacky taste talking here, but come on it's definitely the right occasion to bust out those gems! So below are a few outfit ideas for any New Years party/ get together.

Let me know which outfit you would wear/ what you will be wearing this New Year?! I'd love to hear (:

New Journey - What Am I Doing?

Hello again,

I wanted to share with you all a new journey for me. I started a YouTube channel!! It is exciting and terrifying all at the same time. I wanted to jump for joy for mustering up the courage to finally post a video, even if it's just a short introduction to what to come for the postcardsfromliz YouTube channel. But being super shy it's actually very paralyzing as well, not knowing what to expect and if internet meanies will be, mean. Sigh, whatever. I am doing this for myself, because for many years now I wanted to start a channel just for fun. This is me not letting fear hold me back, so here's to a step forward to living the dream!

Below is my intro video:

Thanks for reading & watching! (:

You are Now Exiting the Comfort Zone...

As I am getting older, I am trying to step out of my comfort zone to experience new things. Side note: I like to pretend I am frozen in the age of 18 forever, so don't burst my bubble... For this post I would like to single out one aspect of this "exiting the comfort zone" which took place today while I was shooting for a photo project.

I am not a photographer, I am  an observer. I feel most comfortable capturing photos of friends within settings I am familiar with. I personally do not believe this restricts or limits the photos I that I can create, because I find everything very interesting. However, the photos tend to seem like a continuous project and I want to branch out from the same old, same old.

My professor is always trying to get us to loosen up, grow as a person, and experiment with our approach of photography. So today I  traveled to a part of town I usually never find myself at or even knew existed really. At first it was intimating to go somewhere new and it was just plain amazing to be able to find it in the first place. But it was also scary, I felt I was not allowed there and especially not allowed to take photos. Then my professor's voice popped in my head and reminded me that photographers have RIGHTS

I think it's odd that we find things that are old,  run-down, and broken so interesting. It might look like just an old abandon building or just trash on the street but once you snap a picture somehow it gets immortalized as somewhat an interesting photo. I like to wonder if it's because we all what to believe that even if something may  be broken it still has it's own beauty.

kiss me at midnight.

As I get older, I realized that one year sure does go by fast! Only a few more days of 2013, but I just got used to it being the year of 2013 haha.

Most people look forward to a new year, new hope, new chances, and fresh starts. It's nice to believe that but for me it's really just another year with days, weeks, and months. You shouldn't really have high hopes that a new year will bring new luck, you make your own destiny and you have control over your own life. So if you want to live a more adventurous life, then go out and explore NOW! If you want to follow your heart and dreams then take the risk now, make it happen NOW!

Be happy & enjoy the little things in life(:

One thing that makes me happy & is one of my passion is FASHION, so here are a few New Years outfits:

When I think of New Years, I always think of gold: fireworks, champagne, & festive lights. These three outfits are very simple in colors, because I personally like the minimalist look. Minimalist as in the color schemes, but I still like an outfit to have it's own voice and boldness.

I hope you lovelies enjoy the outfits & let me know which one you would wear! Or what you will be wearing on New Years! (:

Rain Rain Go Away

Seriously go away! Yes one more thing I'm not too fond of. Don't get me wrong, rain is great for many things like feeding the trees and plants. And who could forget about Sam & Austin's magical moment in the rain (A Cinderella Story). I just preferred to be out of the rain & be in a cozy bed with some tea + a lovely movie. That would be the best scenario, but unfortunately I am stuck on campus all day.

I do not own this photo.

So enough of my venting, I created a few rainy day outfits for the cozy, causal gal to the fashionista in any weather:

I hope you enjoy the outfits I made & comment below: which one you would wear or what would you usually wear on a rainy day.

P.S. Leave any movie suggestion if you have any(:
